Update and roll back

indiga updates as a whole: an update installs a new deployment of the image next to the current one, and the machine starts on it at the next restart.

Update

The CI republishes latest every day, and on every change to main. To see whether an update is available, without applying it:

sudo bootc upgrade --check

To apply it, then restart:

sudo bootc upgrade
sudo systemctl reboot

An image whose signature is missing or does not match is refused.

Roll back

If an update does not suit you, go back to the previous deployment, then restart:

sudo bootc rollback
sudo systemctl reboot

The previous deployment is already on the disk: rolling back contacts no registry.

Published images are kept for 30 days. Going back to the previous deployment is always possible; rebasing onto an image older than 30 days is not.
